Ezra Pound writes to Jacqueline Kennedy.
Once I laminated the wood for the legs I had to joint one side with the hand plane so I would have one straight edge to use on the table saw. Then I could rip each laminated piece into two legs. They are still longer than I need. I am waiting for final sizing from the client. I will probably move onto another project while waiting.
I love working at that new work bench!

College of the Redwoods
A couple of weeks ago, a 3 hour trip up the coast from Oakland brought me to see a friend currently enrolled at the College of the Redwoods in Ft. Bragg. Jess is currently a first year student in the 9 month fine woodworking program at the college and was working on a small walnut case when I arrived. In 2011, Jess and I were design build interns together at Yestermorrow in Warren, Vermont and have both continued to study fine woodworking since then. You can view her work by visiting her website: Jess Osserman.
